AICP Production Training Seminar April 1-2

AICP Midwest will be hosting a commercial production training seminar at Panavision Chicago, 1554 W. Carroll Ave. April 1 and 2.
The Production Training Seminar is an in-depth series of classes that offers a detailed examination of commercial production taught by professionals. Held over two days, registration is limited to 30 students and tuition is $400.
The event is aimed at
• Producers/Production Supervisors/Assistants/Coordinators who want an update on digital production, union rules, bidding
• Producers/Production Supervisors/Assistants/Coordinators who have recently returned to the field
• Coordinators who want to make sure they are covering all the bases
The first day the seminar will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be split in three parts. Part one is titled Crew Labor and Unions and will cover basic obligations, right-to-work, independent contractors, union versus non-union and collective bargaining agreements. Jane Nuñez of AICP will be teaching.
Part two is titled Partnering with the Financial Department and will cover knowing your reporting requirements for employees and independent contractors, forms and legal issues and production insurance. Mary Forston of STORY will be teaching.
Part three is titled The Bid and will break down the bidding process as it is today and outline the details of the bid form. Matt Abramson of Cap Gun Collective will be teaching.
On Sunday the final two parts will be presented.
Part four is titled Boards to Broadcast and will cover live action production from the beginning to the end. Mark Androw of STORY and freelance producer, Marsie Wallch will be teaching.
Part five is titled From Pitch to Delivery and will be taught by Mark Butchko and Luis Mayorga of Optimus.
