Company 3 Chicago Colors For Porsche

To promote the new Porsche 911 GTS, the brand turned to ad agency Cramer-Krasselt and Epoch Films director Phil Morrison for :90 short “Possession,” a clever spot laden with suspense and misdirection. Shot by DP Benoit Debie in the Italian Alps, the short was graded by colorist Tyler Roth of Company 3 in Chicago, who contrasted an overall muted look with the bright red of the Porsche to make the car truly pop. The spot is online, and also aired in the Atlanta market during the big game.
“Phil’s vision pays homage to past cinema icons like Hitchcock and Godard in the tone and style, so we worked to create a color palette that would have that nostalgic, faded feel, while exaggerating the rich color of the car,” says Roth. “It was wonderful working with the amazing team at C-K to craft a story that feels really clever and timeless.”
Cramer-Krasselt Creative Director Rick Standley added: “All the stars aligned on this production. From the client who pushed for the best director, to the editor Jeff Buchanan who cut the story together so beautifully, and finally Tyler who put the icing on the cake with a timeless color grade. Creating good things doesn't have to be painful. This was a pleasure from start to finish.”
The spot aired as a regional spot during the Super Bowl.
