Wondros Signs Director/Photographer Christian Weber

Wondros, Los Angeles adds internationally exhibited photographer and filmmaker Christian Weber to their roster for U.S. commercial representation, the company recently announced.

The signing marks Weber’s first-ever official commercial production company affiliation. Constantly challenging conventional interpretations of beauty, Weber’s thought-provoking films and photographs have won numerous awards and have been featured in top publications including The New York Times Magazine, Harpers Bazaar, New York Magazine, GQ and Life, to name a few. His short films have been screened internationally, with The Creators Project in Tokyo, The New York Fashion Film Festival in New York and Seoul, and a special screening of his short film, “Man on Fire” at the Musee d’art Moderne in Luxembourg. In addition to his short films, he has worked as a freelance commercial director for such noted brands as Audi, Bottega Veneta, IBM, NHL and Xbox, and for top agencies including AKQA, Draftfcb, Weiden+Kennedy, Ogilvy and Mather, McCann Erickson and 72andSunny.

“We are honored to add Christian to our collective,” says Wondros Executive Producer Gina Zapata. “Not only is he a director with a very unique and refined vision, he is also highly regarded in the advertising world. His transition to film making has been organic and we are excited to grow his career and work alongside him.”

“What I love about Wondros is their support of the endeavor of the artist whether it’s personal, feature or commercial work,” says Weber. “It’s nice to be a part of a company that has the foresight to give their artists the room and space to make the work they want to make. They also have the ability to branch out into other work like music videos and other things that help humanity. I love the idea that they work on projects that give back to the community.”
