MRB Productions Goes International

After a decade of producing some of America’s most eye-catching commercial and entertainment content, Hollywood, CA-based MRB Productions, founded by two-time Emmy Award-winning founder and CEO Matthew Brady, has gone international with its new Brazilian JAMBOX music video ad campaign featuring Snoop Dogg and Brazil’s hottest rap artist Marcelo D2, and directed by Spanish director Chuchie Hill.
The new music video was commissioned by Jawbone, the leader in personal mobile technology, and conceptualized by leading advertising agency Pereira & O’Dell, to introduce JAMBOX to the Brazilian market. The JAMBOX is the first intelligent wireless speaker and speakerphone, and offers a compact, yet crystal clear audio experience for those connecting with any Bluetooth device.
The JAMBOX campaign coincides with the debut of the hip-hop single, “Obrigado, Brasil,” from Snoop Dogg and Marcelo D2, which is featured playing extensively throughout the video. Both artists are shown communicating over the JAMBOX unit in Los Angeles and Brazil, visually highlighting the power and ease of the new device.
Hill, a native of Palma de Mallorca, Spain, was tapped to direct the video, based on her extensive roster of projects, including documenting Beyonce’s acclaimed “Check On It” music video, and ad segments for Volvo and Guerlain. She has also directed the music video for Antony & The Johnson’s “Man is the Baby,” and commercials for Heinz, Calvin Klein, Bud Light, and Durex.
“This was MRB’s first South American venture, and it was exciting to get the opportunity to learn about Brazilian filmmaking, and the wealth of resources that are available there for production.” said Brady.
